Day 1 I awoke abruptly, my pod bumping from the Dodixie gate û my final destination. God only knows how long IÆve been drifting through space in this pod. Jumping in I am greeted by 300 people screaming at ones on the local comms. Each one trying to profit off the stupidity of the other. I need to land and get my head straight. Docking up on moon 3 station in Dodixie I was greeted by the friendly insurance agent. They have always been slimy bastards. I check my wallet as the slimy bastard looks for a tip. My digital card says I have 0 ISK in my account.
Nothing. Wowà At least I have this ship. If you could call this a ship. I inspect the rust bucket I was given and undock to start earning back my fortune. LetÆs travel to Vylade, I always liked that place. I inspect the guns and the miner on this ship. They will do. I land on the belt of my choice and I find capital ships mining the ore. ThatÆs my damn ore. IÆd shoot them but my faith in my Civilian Light Electron Blaster is somewhat lacking. I start devouring the Plagioclase asteroid slowly like a small dog trying to devour a big bone. 5 minutes have passed - another 55 to go. My head throbs and I feel a dull pain and I feel a big scar on the back of my head. ThatÆs where my implants were. Before I got ship jacked. Looking at my neighbors I find myself wishing a great misfortune on those 2 bastards. Maybe a few pirates ripping through their hull like piranhas on a feeding freà I get pulled back from my dreams of destruction by a loud Beep coming from my ship. The cargo hold seems to be full. I eject a can that can store a thousand times more than my cargo hold can. I hit the 10 minute mark and continue to bite small chunks from this asteroid. Suddenly an alarm sounds on my ship as I get locked by a coercer. This will not end well for me. He approaches me slowly still having me locked. I have no idea what this guy wants but I will not tick around to find out. I grab the 342 plagio and warp off. I dock up unload and warp back in to grab the rest of my fortune.
I land back at my cargo can to find my potential attacker gone. Was he even there in the first place? Or was this the beginning of space madness? Endless questions without answers. This is what you get for roaming in space alone in a damn egg. The 15 minute mark hits and I find myself hoping for no more adventures. As I continue mining I start eyeing the market for my next ship. The Navitas is a solid mining vessel, in wide use by independent excavators. It is also one of the best ships available for budding traders or even scavengers. The long-range scanners and sturdy outer shell of the ship help to protect the ship from harassment. At least thatÆs what the brochure said. I check the price range. 25000 ISK. Jeez what am I here, made of money? But itÆs a beauty. You get 215 cargo and you can even fit a non-piloted drone ship in it. IÆve heard those things are fierce. I hit the 25 minute mark and I have 2500 plagioclase in that container. ThatÆs a good amount of money. For now.
The next 10 minutes are uneventful and I find myself drifting off the coldness of space enveloping my ship and my pod. The large buzz of the cargo being full awakes me again to the harsh reality. I look at the local chat trying to focus my mind and not sleep on the job again. People searching for allies to join their corporation and alliances, maybe scammers, maybe actual people searching for comrades. ThatÆs the thing about space. It is very hard to distinguish friends from foes and à. A shot rattles my ship as a Serpentis frigate engages my little ship. Instead of helping me the 2 maggots next to me sit back and watch. I warp off to recharge my shields and throw some plagioclase back. The clock indicates that 25 minutes remain. ItÆs time for me to cash out from this belt and try to buy a Navitas.

The next 15 minutes are me warping back between the belt and the station throwing rocks from 1 place to another. Ones I get my Navitas I will have my revenge on those Serpentis dogs. My eyes start hurting from the effect of the warping around. Still better than the previous side effects of the warp engine. I remember on hearing the stories of the first titans warping near planets. Effecting the gravity on the world and even effecting the tides and knocking smaller moons off orbit. Great stories. With each great technology humanity has invented come great disasters. But enough pseudo-intellectual bull****. LetÆs go get my new ship. 5 minutes left and IÆm burning like the sun is going super nova behind me. After selling my stuff I end up with a crisp 82465 ISK. People work for years for that amount. I get it in 1 hour. Space is probably the last free place left to go. Even better in 0.0 if you can get by the thousands trying to kill you. 3 Minutes remain and I jump into the Navitas. What a beauty she is. I will make millions with this ship. After purchasing the ship some miners a great looking hobgoblin combat drone and a shield booster for defense I am left with 18770 ISK. I dock up and the clock reads 0. Day 1 is complete.

Edited by: GOSHO MECHA on 15/07/2011 13:46:40 Day 2
My left eye twitches and my head rings full of liquid half-forgotten memories, as I undock in my new ship. A ship armed with a deadly hobgoblin combat drone, ready to ruin any enemiesÆ day. I warp to a belt another fellow miner mining here. Today I feel friendly so I shall not wish destruction on them and their property. I get convoed by the fellow and I expect trouble. He assures me he will not steal stuff from my cargo container. I delay my answer and he is gone. Maybe this will be a normal day. Maybeà
5 minutes have already passed and itÆs been quiet. I inspect the combat capability of my hobgoblin drone. These things seem deadly. The ingenuity of the Gallente towards drone design is unparalleled. While gazing deep into the machinery and programming of the hobgoblin I seems to have new rivals. A covetor a hulk and a retriever start mining, all dangerously near me. They better not try to steal my fortune. Hell will be raised if somebody does. As I plan the demise of my fellow miners the Serpentis corporation seems to have the same idea. One of the pirates locks me and I launch my hobgoblin. This time I fight. A Serpentis Initiate burns towards me, but my drone is already on him. Tearing through his shields and devouring his armor. A smarter man would have warped off. But the serpentis agents arenÆt known for their intelligence. What they are known for is drug production and ownership of the gas rich Fountain region. Most of their employees are hopped up on a cocktail of drugs running wild through their bloodstreams. ThatÆs what the people are told at least. The truth is always dependent on who tells the story.
15 minutes have passed. The wrecks of the Serpentis frigates hover around me. A grim reminder what happens to the losers in an engagement in space. Either death greets you or you retreat. There are no wounded in space.I scoop my drone back the internal sensors noting that it has sustained no damage in the engagement.
30 minutes remain. ItÆs time to unload. Exciting stuff right here, I need to get an Iteron instead of wasting time hauling in a frigate. My brain will turn to mush from all this warping around. Never did like warpingà but itÆs kind of hard to prevent it when youÆre in the space business, unless you want to spend 3 weeks to get from a belt to a station. My wallet flashes. The concord rewards for the Serpentis frigates I destroyed. 8000 isk for 3 minutes of work, hell maybe I should be a bounty hunter. Maybe not. 15 minutes of unloading and I am only half way done. I need an Iteron as soon as possible. I find one 5 jumps away for 200 thousand ISK. I leave my ship in vylade and start heading towards my new purchase. As I pick up my Iteron the clock nears 0. But I must get back to vylade. I jump into vylade and immediately warp back to the belt where my cargo can was and surprisingly still is. The remainder of my fortune is in there. 3400meters of plagioclase goodness, I pick up and drop at the station where my Navitas is. I sell the plagioclase and at the end of Day 2 my wallet rings out at 327000.66 ISK.

Day 3
The weekend û the worst time for mining. 75 people in local, I bet they all want my asteroid money. I ignore the top few belts knowing they would already been stripped clean and made into an empty void of space. Much like my wallet was a few days ago. But now IÆm a thousandier. Consumed in thought and researching what my next buy should be I land on one of the belts near the end of the list. Nobody here of course, only a serpentis wreck greets me, another rookie blown up belonging to the serpentis corporation. These guys need to get better pilots. They need to hire me for some excavation. I would even be willing to shoot other miners.
10 minutes gone while I dream on my potential life as a pirate miner. Pirate miner û I donÆt even know what IÆm thinking right now. Before my insanity consumes me I decide to browse the market for my next purchase. A procurer seems in my price range. 2.3 million for the ship another 1.5 million for the strip miner. So about 4 million û I need to mine faster.
20 minutes have already passed. And itÆs all quiet on the asteroid front. Before the space madness tries to take hold I think about how much humanity has evolved since we passed through the eve-gate. And what is going on the other side. Considering how the different factions have evolved their technology has splintered from the original Earth tech, I can only be terrified where earth has gone with its natural evolution. But then again we donÆt even know what the Jovians are keeping secret technology wise. They have given us the most advanced technology the other factions have seen, and that was hundreds of years ago. Seeing what the pirates have invented by the recent incursions we can only fear what is being researched by the Jove or the factions we serve.
The 30 minute mark arrives and I decide to get off grim topic of how much destruction we can distribute through the new territories we live in. A cargo container 1/3 full I decide to start unloading when ItÆs at half capacity. I think my previous engagements with the serpentis have given me a reputation. They fear and respect me. I lose myself myself in this haze of delusion and ore dust as i continue to devour asteroid after asteroid until my time is almost gone.
Almost an hour has already passed and the container I am mining into is finally at half capacity. I dock my awesome Noctis and undock the Iteron to collect my future earnings. The iteron lands scraping against the cargo container full of the ore that turns into gold. I scoop half of the contents in the crate and warp off. After I unload the last part of the cargo and sell it my wallet flashes. My current assets show at 1,366076.60 ISK. I made just over a million ISK today. I will upgrade one of my miner in my Noctis to Tech 2 and I have 998945.60 ISK. For tomorrow I shall breach the 0.5 system next door and mine there seeing as it might increase my profits.

Day 4
For todays I came prepared and used the power of mathematics û an unknown and forbidden art to potentially increase my profits. I decided to stay in vylade and mine Dense Veldspar. I left the coziness of the station I was docked and embarked once again to the asteroid belt of my choosing. Not even a sign of Serpentis mercenaries or rival miners that want my precious pieces of space debris. I continue omnomnoming 2 pieces of dense veldspar and my mind continues to wander through the accumulated, almost forgotten and saved knowledge locked in my head.
A small beep signals that already 5 minutes have passed. I see in local friendly mission runners offering new players to salvage and loot after their destructive battleships. A good idea, but many times a trap to get you killed.
Suddenly a drake and 2 griffins warp a certain distance away from me. Maybe looking for enemies they are at war with, or maybe looking to rob a poor miner dude û I will know soon enough. The universe seems to stay still for 5 minutes until these guys decide what to do and finally warp off.
ItÆs quiet now. My mind doesnÆt handle quiet well, but thankfully the clock beeps again. 15 minutes have passed. I start thinking about the cosmic situation in the universe we live in. We have radical religious factions trying to conquer all the other major factions while rogue drones nest like rats plotting and evolving beyond what we could have ever expected. The new technological marvel the strategic cruiser came mainly from rogue drone technology. Those things are years ahead of us in tech. And instead of banding together, to forget our arguments and for a moment of time to be one people we decide to invade each other and the pirate factions decide to invade the relatively peaceful empire systems.
Greed seems to be the last bastion that unites us all. Problem with greed is the more you have the more you want. ItÆs like power, be it political or military. And we continue to spin in this circle of great inventions and great destructions. We have a great capability for both.
My cargo hold screams again as it is filled to the brim and I throw another bunch of veldspar into the cargo container. 25 minutes have passed. I look out of my ship into the surrounding area. Where I am right now is an asteroid filled with potential ships and modules. Filled with the future homes and shuttles for millions of people, just in this little asteroid belt. So much potential for good things and at the same time there are the wrecks and remains of thousands of ships that have wondered to close to the asteroids and collided to them or have encountered the pirate factions a suicide pilot or an enemy of war.
My brain turns into a white noise machine blurring the next 15 minutes into a single moment in time. My brain finally activates and the clock shows 20 minutes are all I have left of today. Another asteroid filled with dense veldspar disappears under the focused fire of my mining lasers. I feel like I have the power to reform a whole planet to my whim. If it was made from veldspar, that would be a pretty cheap planet though.
While I was distracted thinking of my future conquests I was informed by a rattle on the rear side of my frigate that a serpentis initiate has engaged me. To fit the tech 2 miner I had to put my shield booster offline. A bad decision when looking back on it. I was already at 80% shields when I launched my hobgoblin drone to pursuit. As my shields hit 70% my drone had reached him and started wrecking his ship so fast my sensors could not keep up with the destruction. Seconds later the remains of the serpentis initiate were drifting lifelessly through space, my combat drone orbiting him ready for another. I hate to disappoint him but I order him to come back to my ship.
End of part 1.

Part 2.
Already 50 minutes have flown by and itÆs time to start heading back and getting out my iteron to see how much money I have collected. As I undock the iteron I realize I had forgotten to bookmark my cargo container so I have to slowpoke to it. Exciting times. Warping in I see the cargo container and next to it I notice the wreck of the serpentis initiate. Collecting a cargo full of veldspar I smugface and warp off, as I warp back in again with an empty cargo hold i get an extra large dose of irony as I see 2 serpentis initiates hovering around my cargo container. Its hobgoblin time û I dock the iteron in a flurry of haste and worry and undock the glittery Battleship û Navitas 1. It just got real pirate scum. I see them 17 kilometers off me I offline one my miners and activate my shield boosters. Them pirates are going to pay for messing with the navitas. One of them explodes a few seconds after being introduced to the hobo. ThatÆs my name for the hobgoblin drone. The other one joins him shortly as they try to claw away at my shields. My sensors signal that one of them has loot on their ship that has survived the violent explosion. I approach and try to salvage what remains û all I find is a copper tag. One of those costs nearly 100000 ISK on the market. IÆm rich now.
The clock shows 0. That is the time I have remaining. I quickly gather the last 2 loads of veldspar I have left with my iteron and calculate the profits for today. After today I have 2714570.62 ISK IÆve made 1.7 million.
Day 5 may be delayed a day or two, but the show WILL go on.

Day 5
Today I woke up with veldspar on my mind. Literally û somehow particles from a dense veldspar asteroid I was mining the other day got into my pod and its electronics and had contaminated the whole damn thing. After a nice pod scrubbing I could finally begin my day. And it would be a good day, I can just feel it in my pod fluid. I warped to the first belt cheery of the future ore I was going to remove from space and deliver into a cargo container near my ship. Landing on the belt I could see some space friends. A random drake and myrmidon staring at each other like they were in a deadly showdown. Drones out and everything. It was so intense I got distracted for a second and sc****d the paint off my navitas as I collided with the concentrated veldspar asteroid I was going to destroy today. They stood there for 2 minutes and decided to go. All that was left was me and a friendly looking Hulk. I say friendly looking because apparently he was in my corporation. They let all types join though so I donÆt trust him.
Even the passing of time made me happy today. As the 5 minute mark hit I had already gathered 1000 m3 of veldspar. I was close to my goal of buying a mining barge and destroying asteroids even faster. The hulk went away for now. He disappeared towards the sun. If I had a bad day I would suggest he goes and throw himself in it, but today I am a cheery person. As I stare into the sun my eyes burning although I am completely protected from its negative effects I see two additional people warp into MY belt and start mining. I dislike company and these guys are skimming from my profits.
The anger starts to burn though my shell of happiness and 10 minutes have passed. To support my illusion of happiness I decide to start searching the market for the procurer I am going to purchase. And I see one for sell just 1 system away for 2 million. I start to frantically calculate how much it will cost me to purchase it plus all the mods I need for running it. The happiness returns to me and my cargo hold starts squealing that its full again. I throw another batch into the can and start searching for the strip miner. 1.5 million for one 2 jumps away.
Me trying to scan down all the modules I need have made another 5 minutes passed and only 45 are left. One of the hulks that is mining near me starts getting a little too close and I think of telling him to move the **** away, but then I remember the local is at 100 and if some fella decided to steal my ore I really canÆt do much to stop him in my navitas. The next 5 minutes fill my entire mind with quietness and calmness as the two other guys mining around me warp of f and I am alone again. Here I go again on my own going down the only road IÆve ever known. Like a drifter I was born to mine alone. And IÆve made up my mind i aint wasting any more time. Just another hauler in need of rescueà..
I snap of my day dreaming and turn down the jukebox down and decide to start unloading and to begin preparing for my new purchase. My shiny new procurer awaits my glorious arrival.
I fill my cargo with delicious ore and get notified by my timer that only 25 minutes are left. We must hurry. As I warp around the belt and the station I start thinking. Why is there not a ship that can open its cargo hold disassemble it so to say and swallow a whole asteroid whole and bring it home in 1 piece and just dock up. I should contact the ORE people. They are missing a great opportunity.
I dock up and eject from my ship at the speed of light and head to Dodixie û the location of my new ship. I find a strip miner for 1.6 purchase both fit it to my ship and I run back to vylade. I have 15 mines. With this ship I can mine 999 m3 of ore every 3 minutes. And that is without mining upgrades. I like this already. I dock up in vylade and although it pains me to do so I repackage my navitas and sell it.Forever you shall remain in the minds of of me and the 2 people that will read this. Salute to the fallen

Part of day 5.
10 minutes remain and I am already on a belt testing this beauty out. I have fitted 2 mining laser upgrades on the lows and a shield booster for defense on the middle slot I have. I forgot to get Hobo from the station so I will have no protection if the serpentis corporation decides to visit this belt. With the 2 mining laser upgrades tech 1 I mine 1100 m3 every 3 minutes. My worries of the serpentis escalate as 1 of their initiates as if he can read what I write down warps to the belt and starts burning around. Thankfully there was a person in a retriever with some combat drones that made him regret he was ever messing with us miners.
My worries are gone and so is my time. I warp back to the station to let my veldspar rest in the station and undock to haul the last batch and finish up todays calculations. After I arm my Procurer and refine the last of the veldspar I am left with 398,291.04 ISK. I spent 3.6 million on my procurer so today I have made 1.3 million.

Day 6
The electrical storm that was plaguing Vylade finally subsided after 10 long days, for several of which half the station was having power outages. Except the repair crew in the lower decks that make most of the mechanical repairs on ships and on the station. They have some good protection down there. Let us undock and begin day 6. It is a good day to mine. I warp into the belt and I see a fellow miner. And a few abandoned warrior tech II. I might want these. I approach them slowly hoping I donÆt die horribly to a stealthed enemy that wants them back. i was 5000 meters away when he came back and scooped them. I played stupid and approached my veldspar asteroid and continued to mine it.
5 minute have elapsed and my procurer is being super effective against the defenseless veldspar. I am chewing right through the second asteroid already. It is quiet and my belt friend retriever seems to have also warped off. The quiet of space feels good after almost 2 weeks being cramped into a 10 by 10 meters cabin. And the accommodations in gallente space arenÆt good if you donÆt have 1 million to throw around. As a poor miner you get what you need. But hardly what could be desired of a room by somebody.
Almost 20 minutes have passed and I continue to chew through asteroid after asteroid in my new acquisition. My retriever friend warps back in at 20 kilometers range û a good range to keep at if it was up to me. Another space friend that appears to be from the npc corporation I was dropped in when I left my previous one warp into the belt at a cool 25 km range.
Half the day has passed away and at a risk to repeat myself everything seems quiet today. As I rest my eyes for a second one of my hands touches a wall of my pod and I feel a static shock. Seems like my ship is still charged from the electrical storm. Either that or my body is. The pod has enough defenses that it will not interfere with my controls. Still they said they made sure nothing is electrically charged when I climbed in. The last thing you want when you are in a pod is to get an electrical charge off in the goo the sensors in the pod detecting a breach or an attempt of tampering and you get instantly podded into a new clone and lose your implants. The chances of that happening arenÆt even slim anymore. More and more reports have been coming in especially from the low sec and 0.0 security systems of pods exploding while approaching a gate or even undocking while in a ship. As the race to provide the cheapest pod service accelerates the quality of the product goes down the tubes.
While I think the perils of space a serpentis spy warps in and starts shooting my poor little procurer. The hobgoblin zooms out of the bay and engages the enemy ripping through the shields and armor and quickly disperse the hull too. While this short engagement was going the clock seems to approach finish time and I warp off and dock up to start moving the ore to the station with my iteron.
5 minutes remain and a race with the clock begins as I warp in and out the station. I scoop the last of my ore and the remains of the serpentis spy and head to the station to sell and see what the tally is for today.
The clock strikes 12 and as I turn back into a pumpkin I have made 1.9 million for today and my wallet stands at 2,261,030 isk. A pretty good day. As i get out of my pod in station I get another static discharge. GOD DAMN IT.
Thanks for all the great responses guys. The final will be up before the end of the week.

Day 7 So little time has passed in the real world but I have acquired so much. People work for year for the amount of money I have acquired in mere hours. IÆm moving up and with my popularity ôold friendsö have contacted me and have said they will arrive before the day is over. It will be good to see old acquaintances. I started mining already, trying to remember where I have seen the ID tag from the communication I got.
Pondering that question already 10 minutes have passed of me mining. I feel one of the many scars on my head pulsing. A headache comes on and it makes my vision gray with pain for a few minutes. The dull pain subsides as the automatic drugs in the pod kick in to compensate. As my vision clears I am greeted by yet another serpentis initiate trying to destroy me. Hobo rushes out of the drone bay just vandalizing one of the serpents as another warps in. Soon he also joins his friend in cold storage.
15 minutes have passed and i get notified my friends have arrived on the station I am basing from and that they are waiting for me near the ship maintenance area. ItÆs quiet now and I keep destroying veldspar with my laser. 20 minutes have passed. The quiet keeps playing with my brain and I start seeing angels as my eyes haze up again. My head starts killing me again and I start trying to focus on my task and to get faster to the end of the day. But time defies me and keeps going the same speed as before. It does not want to bend to my wishes. I snicker in the darkness all alone and keep mining.
The 25 minute mark arrives with a warning. My cargo hold seems to be full yet again. I jet it quickly into a can and continue to do my task. The darkness starts creeping at me again and I zone out again. A dream appears before me for a split second. Either that or a disturbing memory. I see blood û a lot of blood. And somebody screaming.
ôPUT HIM BACK DOWNö.
I awake my head still throbbing and notice that the clock shows that half my day is done. My eyes are watering with the sharp pain and the delirious daze I am in doesnÆt seem to plan on subsiding. I try to concentrate for a second my head on a permanent combination of pain and fog. I check all the filtration systems for a contaminant as I get paranoid that there is something wrong. Everything checks out . I also check my vitals and except the high brain activity which I concur is because of my genius there is nothing wrong.
My paranoia subsides but the headache does not. This is how arrive to minute 35. I try to keep my mind off the pain and check all the modules and subsystems of my barge for any irregularities. Everything is on point and within norms.
The next 15 minutes pass in a quiet daze of me trying to focus and trying to not lose consciousness. Only 10 remain and I decide to start unloading soon. I have almost 20000m3 in the can and happiness arrives this day because I get reminded that I will get paid good for all this ore. I hit 20km3 in the can and I decide itÆs time to unload.
The clock nears 0 and I am almost done. My head continues a nice combination of throbbing and pain to keep me interested as I warp around and finally dock up. I sell everything and I am left with 4155739 isk. Today I have made another 1.9 million. As I remotely sell my stuff I mined I finally leave my ship and end up in front of 2 large Minmatar brutes right in my face. The shorter one grins a smile full of metal and gold.
ôHello again.ö
ThatÆs all he says as the bigger one forms a fist and I notice that his hand is modded and he has spikes implanted on his knuckles. A second later I feel those spikes in my gut as I collapse to the ground.
ôBring him with us to the Dramiel. And donÆt hit him in the head the boss wants his tracking implants intact.ö
My head throbs a final time and darkness arrives.
